Here we go again. Friday. My weeks are oh so hectic, but I always try to make relaxing and fun plans for the weekend. Tonight we are going to play with Greta’s cousins and tomorrow we’ll spend the day with other relatives. Staying busy and spending as much time as possible outdoors, is my recipe for survival. Even an hour at home will create a chaotic mess and both of us get frustrated. Unless of course we read book after book, which actually is one of my favorite things.

These pictures were taken last Sunday while spending the day in Porvoo. While there, I actually started thinking about how nice it would be to live there. It’s such a beautiful and cozy city, and I sometimes miss getting away from hectic city life. I think it would be really nice being able to get out in nature faster, and by nature I’m referring to something else than kaivopuisto :).

While living in Canada, I lived in a house located outside the city even though it was close. What I loved so much was that living a bit outside downtown, made my lifestyle much more calm and forced me to slow down. I appreciate the feeling of coming home to a quiet place, knowing I don’t need to be anywhere when I’ve finished my day. Now the city is always two steps away, meaning I always have the opportunity to get that last something I need to get done, done.

Right now I love living where I live, but who knows where I’ll be in ten years from now. Or five…
