For me the accessory of the season is definitely a scarf. There’s something so classic about it yet it feels modern and fresh. Perfect piece for the new and simple Konmari wardrobe offering variety to our most beloved clothes and can be styled in endless ways. Below I’ve listed my three favorite ways to wear a silk scarf.

Around my neck. This is the most classic way to wear a scarf and right now it feels completely right. When it comes to the size of the scarf it’s good to keep in mind how much volume you want. If you have a shorter neck a smaller band shaped scarf might look more flattering, but then again a larger scarf can soon be a good alternative to cover up in outdoors paired with your spring jacket. When it comes to color and pattern anything works. I usually opt for a patterned scarf since I think it makes it more flirty. This orange paisley patterned silk scarf I received as a gift by Balmuir is my new favorite. Surprising and bold choice I know.

Braided low bun. Perfect way to make an everyday effortless bun more fun. This is my favorite beach hair-do. Black bikini, sleek bun with a scarf, sunglasses and a straw hat. One can dream right?

Wrapped around a top handle bag. I’ve worn this bag so much although it kind of reminded me of a granny bag at first. Even though I kind of love the granny association I think it gets a more modern look with a scarf wrapped around the handle. Actually, I dress it in different scarfs all the time and youtube offers great tutorials of different wrappings. I sometimes leave the ends uneven and long for a more casual look and a simple bow at either end is cute too.
