Good morning from my bedroom! I went to bed at 9pm last night and slept like a baby. Now I’m zipping on my third cup of coffee before it’s time to get up and start the day. I’m meeting up with Juuli and later tonight my mother is coming over to babysit the kids. Me and my Prince Charming are going out to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

Here are my new boots that aren’t just any pair of boots. They are the most perfect golden boots I’ve seen. I’ve been wanting them ever since I first saw them, but I’m happy I waited because now I scored them on Anine Bing’s sale about a week ago. They are perfect for the holiday season and during summer worn bare legged with a dress.

Also, metallics work great paired with simple everyday outfits to make them more fun and most of all fabulous! For me, it’s easier to incorporate glitter, sequins and metallic pieces than bright colors. They work as a nice detail yet they let my style stay simple and basic. Also, metallic pieces are way easier to pull off considering what this time of year does to a typically Scandinavian skin tone and hair. A bright red top might not look so flattering, but a pair of golden boots can make anyone look like a rock star.
