ghost stories

Recently when we visited Tallinn we payed a visit to the prison museum Patarei. It was a place that brought many thoughts and emotions to the surface, and the quiet and empty rooms echoed of emptyness as well as they screamed to me loudly, all at the same time. I can’t believe this prison was still active at 2002 when the last prisoner was replaced to another prison.
I highly recommend paying a visit if you’re ever in Tallinn. Read up on the history beforehand, since the museum don’t offer any guided tours unless you’re a group of 10 or more.
Patarei Vangla, Kalaranna 2 ja 2a
Open every day from May to September from 12–19

Nothing ever ends poetically.
It ends and we turn it into poetry. All that blood was never once beautiful. It was just red.
