Tip of the week if you happen to have small children and want to get away from the city, is to visit either Haltiala or Fallkulla. Haltiala is perfect if you want to look at animals, play at the playground and enjoy some time at the cafeteria/ restaurant. We spent lots of time here when Greta was younger. Gabriel isn’t as interested, since ball games and random running around and wrestling takes up all his time. During summer, Haltiala is open from 7 am to 11 pm.

Fallkulla is open from 10 am to 3 pm, but it’s also a wonderful place to visit and in comparison to Haltila, you get to see the animals more closely. We have always loved to spend time with animals and especially during these hot days in Helsinki, it’s nice to come up with new things to do outside the ordinary.

Shit, how much I’ve shopped this summer! The fashion right now is so my style! Off the shoulder cuts, midi lengths and frilly dresses. My theory is that this shopping spree is strongly attached with the heat. It’s much harder to re-style clothes, since layering is out of the question and for once, it’s amazing to be able to enjoy wearing tiny and airy summer clothes. The other option is, that my brain must have melted a bit. However, now I’ve decided to zip up my wallet and hold back for a while, although I kind of like to think of letting loose like a motivator to work even harder :D. At least it’s comforting to think that way.

I have to say though, that I’ve managed to make amazing finds on sale and from the high street brands. This cute and colorful set makes me smile and works perfectly in this unbelievable weather! Can’t stop hyping it.

Also, I’ve done something completely out of my comfort zone. I actually went out on Saturday and by going out I mean coming home at 3 am! First time in forever, but I had a really good time. My friends were visiting me from Sweden and the only time slot I had available was at night. So, we did the for me quite unthinkable and went out. Thank you all who came to say hi. I loved talking to you!
