Maksettu kaupallinen yhteistyö L’Oréal Paris:in kanssa// Paid collaboration with L’Oréal Paris

L’Oréal Paris is collaborating with one of my favorite designers Isabel Marant by launching a collection that very much reflects what Marant thinks of beauty. Marant wants her eyes to get seen without distractions but thinks a red lipstick can cheer up a tired face anytime.  Everything has to be possible to just smudge on the go. Isabel Marant herself is a mother and a very successful business woman who wants things to happen quickly. She wants to support the idea of concentrating on the important things and divide her time efficiently without compromising feeling fresh and beautiful. I match her way of thinking and it feels like she designed this collection with L’Oréal Paris just for people like myself in mind.

In this post, you will see a picture explosion of my day from the L’Oréal Paris lab, master class, Isabel Marant atelier- to backstage, the actual runway and afterparty. This one day may feel like an entire week, but in-between snapping pictures and feeling like a lost fangirl next to top models like Kaia Gerber, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Amber Valletta and my all-time favorite influencers, I found myself pinching myself, trying to really understand where I was and what I got to experience. It was by far, one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced during my career. So grateful for this opportunity!

In the morning, my sweet and irreplaceable driver Karim picked me up from the hotel to take me to the lab. Thanks to Karim, I was able to post my posts, change clothes, touch up my makeup, eat, sleep and be right on time everywhere I went. I just think he needs a huge applaud and thank you for being there for me, and I know I wouldn’t have been able to stick to my schedule without him. Anyways, at the labs me and other journalists and influencers from around the world got to make our own lipsticks and got a presentation about the inspiration and thought behind the WANTED collection by L’Oréal Paris x Isabel Marant. As the beauty nerd I am, I was fascinated about everything I saw and learned.

After the lab visit I instantly put on my red lipstick I made before I finally got to meet Isabel Marant herself. She is very French in the most charming way and spoke about beauty and fashion in an interesting, laid back and charming way. She wants makeup to be fun and playful, not a shield to hide behind. The collection really mirrors that.

After the atelier, we drove back to the hotel for a quick change and beauty prep. Because I usually go for bold lips and kind of nude eyes, I decided to do the opposite and go for a smoky eye. Then I had about 15 minutes backstage. I have to say, I’ve never seen so many beautiful people in one room. Both the clothes and makeup looked stunning and I kind of wonder how I will manage to up my salary, so I can afford everything ;)! Needless to say, the show was a dream come true and so was the afterparty too. I was sweaty and tired after being so nervous and amazed, so I left on time and went out for burgers with my friends instead. So happy to have around 5 000 pictures to return to again and again though.

The Isabel Marant x L’Oréal Paris collection will be launched in Finland in November. Until then, we can all try to opt the way of thinking that makeup is optional, but a fun way to mirror who we are or want to be.
