Big in Japan
In collaboration with KappAhl// Kaupallisessa yhteistyössä KappAhlin kanssa

Have you ever been in Japan? It’s one of my favorite places in the entire world and a place I can’t wait to experience again with my children. There are a few places I want to revisit again when my children grow up a little. I want them to see and maybe also understand my life a bit and most importantly see the world to get a wider perspective on life. Japan however, is my number one place.
I spent a few months in Osaka when I was 19. It’s one of the most special and life changing periods of my life. I learned so much about myself and ended bad things at home and switched focus towards better things. I worked with myself and went through a soul search that made me who I am today. Or at least it taught me a lot about attitude. All in all, Japan will always have a very special place in my heart.
I spent most of my time in Osaka, but travelled around a lot for work. The modelling and fashion scene is interesting and very different compared to anywhere else I’ve been. I love the extremely well-organized days, politeness and strong work ethic. Work days were long and tough. Even tough I remember being exhausted I loved to see and observe everything around me.
Japan itself is like a different world! It’s like visiting a fairytale or dream world intended for children. Hello Kitty, puppy café’s, animated news and street style that’s beyond this world. Just writing about it makes me want to go back!
This Japan inspired limited edition Big in Japan by KappAhl gives me the opportunity to embrace my heart warming experiences from the past. I’m especially fond of this white suit and the tunics I’m wearing in this post. Perfect addition to my vacation wardrobe!
