My Favorite Denim with Marks & Spencer

Outfit,2 April 2015

I’m excited to post this post because I’m really proud and honered to announce that this post is my first, followed by nine more collaboration posts with the wonderful, four floored departement store Marks & Spencer located in Helsinki Sokos departement store! I’m absolutely thrilled about this opportunity and I really enjoy making this project happen along with my inspiring blog colleagues Kaisa and Vilma. Vilma actually made a fact post about Marks & Spencer here.

For my first post I wanted to pick three different looks wearing my favorite styles of jeans. Jeans are a huge part of my wardrobe and I am extremely picky when it comes to fit and comfort.

This first look is my favorite. Blue skinny jeans will always be my favorite and most worn denim. A simple and well fitted pair of blue jeans is always fresh and classic, especially for spring time.

I like my denim pretty much unwashed and I’m not into ripped styles. I only wear normal waisted and sometimes high waisted jeans. I stay away from low waists because I find them uncomfortable and unflattering for my body shape.

Also the size of the pockets play an important role depending on how you want your bum to look like. If you want it to appear more curvy choose a smaller pocket and vice versa.

White jeans are always light, fun and elegant towards summer and I think they’re a bit less casual. Although, I find it can be a bit challenging to find flattering white jeans so I always try to keep a few things in mind when shopping. Make sure the fabric isn’t see through, don’t buy them too tight and always wear nude colored underwear!

Marks & Spencer also offer three different lengths on their jeans which is great news for both us tall as well as petite!

Last but not least the boyfriend jeans. I love being able to slip into a pair of relaxed pair of jeans for a day off or dress them up with heels to create contrast. Also here I like the wash to be discreet and no ripped fabric here either.

Jeans to me make up a base that I like to work with to either dress up or down. Jeans are a big part of my everyday wardrobe and I think that when in doubt, a pair of great jeans paired with a tee, tank or shirt always looks great on anyone.
