This outfit is a different kind of outfit to wear for a night out or special event. Because I’m nursing I find it much easier to wear a two piece over a dress. The more cleavage the better (never thought I’d say that). A well fitted blazer is a must in my wardrobe, even though I’m not the typical blazer type. I own one and that is enough, but I wear it all the time.
If you are looking to invest in a timeless blazer I highly recommend one that’s well fitted and a bit longer. I find a longer blazer that covers most of the behind is easier to combine with jeans, skirts and over dresses. Therefore you get much more use out of it. The material is extremely important. I recommend one that’s made of fine and soft wool. It keeps you warm when it’s cold and it breathes when it’s warm.
A classic blazer might sound a bit boring and stiff, but it actually offers endless opportunities and is a super versatile piece when styled right. You don’t have to wear it with a button up shirt. Perhaps throw a belt over it, wear it with well fitted leather pants, over a silky slip dress, with sneakers and a tee, over a bra or relaxed jeans. It goes with almost everything. If you don’t have to wear a suit to work every day, most of us need only one blazer. For me it is a wardrobe safety blanket. Always there for me with a safe yet always stylish solution for when in doubt of what to wear.
