Embroidery and other wonderful things
In collaboration with Saga furs/ Kaupallinen yhteistyö Saga fursin kanssa
As I mentioned before I’m glad the typically Scandinavian and minimalistic fashion that has been hot for so long has become a little bit more “open-minded”. A tee -shirt and jeans always works. We know that by now, but I feel I’m ready to incorporate a little bit more spices into my way of dressing.
Right now, I’m eager to wear more color, metallic, pattern and pieces I haven’t worn in a while. The suit is one of those, but also matching sets like denim skirt paired with a denim jacket, overalls and wearing the same color from head to toe. I love flower patterns and large prints worn with simple pieces. Glitter and embroidery has made a huge comeback this fall/winter and is something I thought would never excite me again. Well, I was wrong and I’m slowly becoming a colorful and sparkly disco ball day and night.
I’m so happy I dared to add these sparkly embroideries to this vintage fur coat! It’s definitely not for every day, but makes those special moments and occasions even more special. I should re-design more old treasures that don’t get worn as they are… Read more about this re-design project here!
These pictures are from Finland’s Independence Day. We celebrated with family and friends and got to change into our very best. More of those please ;)!
