Forgotten word

Outfit,14 October 2018

Boredom. Does it exist anymore? Well yes, if my batterie dies, I have to study math, or I’m stuck on an airplane for too long. I recently got the question; what do you do when you’re bored? This made me realize, how rare boredom has become in my life.

Being bored disappeared sometime between my first smartphone and becoming a mother. Long gone are those days when I sat in a waiting room, at the bus stop or at home with nothing to do. Nowadays, there are always too much to do and boredom has become almost non existing. And to be completely honest, boring moments makes me panic.

However, I realized that boredom is necessary. It’s the root of inspiration, creativity and motivation, and most of all it boosts all of these in a unique way. Not by copying someone else’s already existing ideas and thoughts.

In my daily life, I do everything in my power to avoid getting bored. I am the queen of multitasking, but that’s something I shouldn’t brag so much about? Is it really that good to listen to audiobooks while spending time in nature, updating my platforms while I’m at school or on a walk or at a dinner, make as many phone calls as I can when I’m walking my dog and do laundry while I’m on the toilet? Probably not, right?

I can’t even write this blog post without looking at my phone every other second and go back and forth to the fridge.

So, the conclusion is that I’m very thankful to you for reminding me of boredom. I need to practice that more. It’s going to become my new hobby I think. I just have to figure out how to incorporate more of that into my life since it feels so unappealing to me. Even five minutes of doing absolutely nothing feels like torture. Does meditation count? I could start by practicing that for 5 minutes every day, but isn’t that also actively doing something, or actively not doing anything? What’s your thoughts around the subject? Hit me with your most boring tips!

Flu season

Fashion,Outfit,9 October 2018

Today, I woke up early to be able to make it to Tommy Hilfiger’s SS2019 press breakfast. The showroom was gorgeous and made me a bit envious at their incredible office spaces! So cool and high tech. This dress is from the Icons collection in stores now. My other favorite piece is this oversized trench coat, here.

After the breakfast, our little family drove to an indoor swimming pool. We had so much fun and I became a child myself! It’s a million times better to swim during the week when everyone else is at work/daycare/school. So, if you like so many of us don’t enjoy indoor swimming pools, my tip is to try to go during the week, if you have the possibility sometime.

I’m fighting a cold that wants to break through but hasn’t yet. I’m usually like that; on the verge to get sick, but rarely do. It’s just a good excuse to stay in this calm mode for a bit longer.
