I’ve become obsessed with child birth. I notice my mind and entire body starting to prepare itself for the process. I dream about giving birth and I can’t stop thinking about it. I juggle thoughts around how I want to deliver, what I don’t want and so on. Another one of my hobbies is to watch videos of child birth. Unfortunately my friends aren’t as excited as me when I keep sending them video links showing somewhat shocking material. Just to clarify I’m not referring to those staged ones they recommend at neuvola. I’m talking about the real thing where everything is exposed and nothing left unseen. Hands down the best films I’ve ever watched!

Even though I’ve been through this incredible journey once before, I must say I had no idea this is how it looks like. Last time I read everything there is to read about child birth, but I never watched a  single video. It is very shocking and scary, but mostly it’s so amazing and miraculous! Everyone should see these videos and familiarize themselves with the process of new life being created and delivered into this world. If you ask me, videos like these should be shown to all students in high school. What else is as real and natural as this?

Giving birth is amazing, presuming everything goes well. It obviously hurts like hell (!!!) but how amazing isn’t it to be able to produce and bring new little human beings into the world. My body is a wonderland and I can’t wait to go through with the entire process of feeling like I’m being burnt alive one more time, just to get the reward of getting my own child into my life. I can do this!

PS. I might not think as positively about this right after labour. Therefore, this post is only valid until the day of birth, and is never to be brought up again afterwards ;D.
