Alice Through The Looking Glass
A couple of days ago I had the opportunity to see the movie Alice Through The Looking Glass directed by James Bobin. It is the sequel to Alice In Wonderland (2010) which was a huge success. This time Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to wonderland on a mission to save the Hatter (Johnny Depp).
After sailing the world Alice finds a magic mirror through which she once again reunites with her friends in wonderland. The Hatter isn’t himself. So Mirana (Anne Hathaway) sends Alice off to borrow the Chronosphere from Time himself (Sacha Baron Cohen). The Chronosphere is a time device that takes you back in time and is wanted by many, including Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).
By visiting the past Alice sees important moments of her friends lives understanding what made them who they are today in present time. She discovers how to solve Hatters problem but first she has to win the life threatening race before it’s all too late.
The movie was not only entertaining, emotional and thrilling. It was also very beautiful with all the amazing colors and sceneries, especially the clothes and costumes. Almost like art. I got really inspired by the colorful, rich and beautiful fabrics.
Inspired by the movie I wanted to create fairytale-like pictures. I decided to build the whole story around my own magical mirror in the middle of the forrest. Nature always feel magical and somehow surreal itself with all it’s different materials, terrain, color, scent, sound and life. The forrest is so different from the city it almost becomes a different world. A wonderland.
The movie will be released on May 25th and has an age limit of 12.

Tätä elokuvaa olen niiin odottanut. Edellinen oli huikea ja Johnny Depp… <3. Elokuvan tunnelma, puvustus, kaikki uppoa minuun :) Ja nuo kuvasi elokuvan henkeen, mahtavia!
