Even though we haven’t been blessed with so many beach days this summer we’ve been brave enough to give it a go. Since we spend so much time at the cottage I think it’s nice to also explore what our beautiful city has to offer. Suomenlinna, Pihlajasaari, Uunisaari, Korkeasaari and of course the amusement park are musts.

Yesterday we decided to spend a few hours at Uunisaari and it was just as dreamy and perfect as I imagined. Also, having my sisters girl over for a few days gives us the perfect opportunity to pretend to be a big family with three kids. Love her just like my own and she shows me how much everything changes when they get just a few years older. Although, I know she is one of a kind with a heart of gold. Can I adopt her please?

Speaking of “adoption” my sister has more than kids to be envious about. Her closet is bigger than mine and yours combined, so I kind of stole this shirt dress and I’m sure she hasn’t even noticed. Just like in high school. Shirt dresses have been everywhere lately, but this simple version is just what I wanted. Perfect for a day on the beach paired with sandals and sunglasses. I’m loving it!
