A day in the sun – My morning routine

Good morning. In this post, I’ll take you through my springtime morning
routine and talk about how it differs from my winter and nighttime routine.
I always start my mornings between 7 and 7.30 by sitting down with a big
cup of coffee while my children have breakfast. After helping them get
ready for school, I check my emails and my to-do list for the day in my
calendar while I eat. Then, it’s time to get ready for the day. I usually
shower in the morning, whereafter I do my skincare and haircare routine. I
always cleanse my skin thoroughly also in the morning to have a clean and
fresh surface to work with when I apply my skincare products. Taking
some time form myself and really go through my routines mindfully, is
one of the benefits I have working from home, that I’m sure many of us
have experienced now during the past year.
During the day, my main focus for my skin is to protect it, retain moisture
and create a nice, radiant complexion. In the evenings, my focus is on
nourishment, repair, strengthen and renewal.
We know that 80% of skin damage is due to solar radiance and pollution.
It creates lines and wrinkles, dark spots, uneven skin surface, collagen
degration and hyperpigmentation. That is why I want to emphasize the
importance of using sun protection every day and up the ante for spring and summer when the radiance is higher and stronger.
After cleansing I’m now quite into applying Hylau B5 serum to my skin to
give me that intense moisture I need, especially if I spend more time in the
sun. The serum is a clear gel that’s easy to apply, absorbs quickly into the
skin and makes the skin feel smooth and soft. It’s also repairing and
replumping, which makes it perfect to use for nighttime as well. I love it
when I can use the same serum both day and night. The simpler the better.
When the serum is all absorbed into my skin, I apply the newly launched
La Roche Posay Anthelios age correct cream. It’s La Roche Posays first
hybrid product with the combination of anti-aging day cream combined
with high sun protection, spf 50. It works to reduce signs of aging in just 4
weeks and improves skin elasticity. I’ve always used day creams with spf
but find that many products seldom have a high enough spf to really make
me feel secure in the sun. This cream feels smooth and goes well under
makeup. It has the benefits of protecting while nourishing and helps fight
the skin from aging.
I love to spend time out in the sun and plan to do so also this summer but
making sure I protect my skin the best I can has been one of the most
important realizations I’ve had when it comes to taking care of my skin.
It’s the most important thing and first step I teach my children when it
comes to skin care. Hoping to give them good knowledge and tools to help
them care for themselves.
Do you find it important to use sun protection every day?

Jättebra att du tar upp solens skadliga inverkan. Jag är själv redan pensionär och har alltid skyddat min hy från solen och det märks tydligt nu. Tack för en underbar blogg.
