I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with maxi dresses. Is it just a daytime approved version of a gown or is it the more bohemian choice of summer dress? I don’t think this dress has been able to slip through unnoticed because it has certainly been the blogger/influencer dress of the year and sold out several times. When I first saw it I thought it was way too much but in the best way possible. A statement piece so beautiful it brings a smile to my face every time I see it. Not to forget how it moves when I walk. Ruffles in action everywhere!

What I love about maxi dresses is of course that it’s very convenient during the Finnish summer. Keeps you cool yet covers up and even offers a bit of protection against mosquitos (probably my least favorite little animal on this planet). I’ve actually worn this dress mostly during daytime paired with sneakers and a navy/grey  cashmere pullover.

I think I’ve had some sort of denim skirt in my wardrobe ever since my early teens. It more or less disappeared from the street style for a while but now it seems this trend has exploded again. Three years ago it was all about buttoned 70s´style skirts and all of a sudden the stores are filled with every style, length, shape and color imaginable. The variety is so wide it’s starting to remind me of it’s sibling; jeans. Cropped, skinny, boyfriend, flared, washed, unwashed and everything in-between. The variety we have nowadays within the category denim is never ending and that my friends I’m very thankful for. Never been the kind of woman who likes not being able to pick and choose ;P.
