Rain rain rain. Suits me perfectly though, because this week my daughter has been fighting a stomach flu. Her very first one and my nightmare. Impossible to keep her away from her brother and impossible for me to entertain her. Her energy level is completely normal, meaning she is climbing on the walls by now. She is such a fighter though. Doesn’t bother her the slightest bit to be sick. However, I can’t wait for this to be over.

It’s funny how completely empty my head can be of blog related things after a few days at home. I don’t find myself dreaming and reflecting over upcoming fall trends, outfits to shoot and I don’t browse through the internet at night admiring shoes. I kind of deleted my fashion self for a few days.

Today it’s time for me to crawl out of the cave while Greta is home with her dad. Better to refresh myself by wearing my favorite red lipstick by Rouge Edition. So affordable and stays on forever. Perfect for spring and yes, red lips are totally fine on any rainy old Wednesday. Have a good one!

The best time of the year is about to kick off. The party season. So many festivities to celebrate. Vappu, mothers day, graduation and my personal favorite, weddings. Not only do I love the celebration itself with everyone gathering, great food and togetherness. Dressing up is a big part of the preparations and sets the mood for the event. Everything feels a little bit more extra when experienced in a nice dress, heels and that empowering lipstick.

Getting ready for a special event is something I remember from my own childhood. I remember going shopping with my mom. Hanging the hanger with my newly purchased and carefully picked out dress on my door knob, and admiring my mom doing her makeup the morning of. That special feeling of everyone making an effort to look and feel their best is something I remember clearly. That feeling is something I cherish and love which probably is why I still find pre-party preparations to be the best part. So hopeful, excited and expectant for what the day has to offer.

This spring I have the honor to be one of the faces for Stockmanns spring campaign. Stockman is not only a big part of my childhood shopping memories, but a place I spend hours in every week. The entire department store has gone through a huge face lift and is now filled with so many of my favorite brands. I also want to point out that Stockmann grocery store is in my opinion a pride of Helsinki. A place I take all of my foreign friends for a visit.

When styling this shoot I simply couldn’t decide between these two dresses. So, I had to shoot both. I also went a bit over board at the shoe department which resulted in a hallway totally blocked with shoe boxes (oops). Too many amazing pairs to choose from. If only I had more than two feet.
